Meet our Pastor

Rev. Kimberly Secrist Ashby has been with us since the fall of 2004.  She and her husband, Cary, have one young daughter, Megan.  Kimberly was born in Ohio and she grew up in Alabama.  She graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Spanish and earned a Master's in Education from Vanderbilt's Peabody College.  She earned her Master's in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia.  Prior to her arrival in Sandusky, she served for four years as an Associate Pastor for Christian Education.

Pastor Kimberly is fluent in Spanish and loves to relax while cooking and baking.  She recently served as the President of the Sandusky Area Ministerial Association and serves on the Boards of Directors for Care and Share of Erie County, the Sandusky Erie County Community Foundation, and the Center for Cultural Awareness.

Kimberly seeks to create a vibrant ministry in which people of all ages join together to learn, worship and support each other in faith.  The members of this congregation have found that she in not only our spiritual leader but she has also become a loyal and faithful friend who has given herself time and time again to the growth and rebirth of this church.  Her dynamic leadership both from the pulpit and through her daily life continues to show the church's mission statement is not just a group of words but a statement to live by.  We are God's people in Sandusky being rooted in God, growing in faith, sharing God's love through a church with a heart for all of God's people.  She hopes we will all be inspired to spread God's love through mission and make a difference in the world.
